WallMuse, co-funded by the European Union (EU), facilitates cooperation to digitally share diverse cultural expressions, including art exhibitions, performances, and heritage sites and stock outside of their physical locations. The author who has collaborated with intergovernmental institutions and grassroots level organisations in different countries has in collaboration with informatics experts Frédéric Ortun and Gerasimos Tzoganis developed WallMuse application. This paper presents its features in comparison with other available solutions. Also it reports ongoing research for the developing open-source version of WallMuse which can handle copyright and Creative Commons content properly, enable collective and immersive capabilities for enhanced user experiences, support HTML, JavaScript and CSS code for interactive art and digital exhibition processes and incorporate participative and interactive elements in performances and cultural heritage transmission. Author opines that in current complex global scenario digital tools can transcend traditional boundaries to promote engaging and informative content on diverse art practices and cultures.
